Mortgage Broker from OC Took Down LA Poker Open Win

A 37-year-old mortgage broker from Orange County took down Commerce Casino’s LA Poker Open finale. Kwinsee Khoa Tran, who says he spends most of his time playing poker in the recent days, amassed $178,830 for the win, bringing his career total up and over the $650,000 mark.

Names like Kevin Saul, Sorel Mizzi, Matt Affleck, Phil Laak, Men Nguyen and Sam Stein all came into the event, but a Los Angeles local came out leading at Commerce Casino. “Once again it’s been confirmed that the local players can race with the best Code Titan Poker in the world at Commerce,” believed Tournament Director Matt Savage. Commerce Casino’s LA Poker Open awarded in excess of $1.3 million over the course of 18 events. Next up at Commerce is the LA Poker Classic Jan. 19- Mar. 3.
